GOP again targeting PBS funding

According to USA Today, the war in Iraq costs taxpayers $5 billion per month. That's roughly $160 million a day.

So, as we've been told that the death of Zarqawi doesn't end the war in Iraq, Bush and the GOP Congress will do everything to prevent Bush's tax cuts for the rich to be repealed (the Center on Budget and Poligy Priorities details the loss of revenue from Bush's tax cuts), Republicans want to now "rein in government spending" by slashing $115 million this year from public broadcasting and eliminate funding for NPR and PBS altogether in two years. And if you want to believe it, they also tried to say that some of this funding will go to disabled children instead. Shyeah right. If they're so concerned, stop maiming kids in Iraq, maybe stop the war-making for a day, and that should be enough to let PBS continue educating the kids and ignorant adults over here. The hypocrisy is so thick I could spit. The only thing that's happening here is that NPR and PBS are being penalized for not being Faux News. That and why should this admnistration spend money on, OMG, education.

MoveOn is collecting signatures to stop Congress again:

If you're not boiling mad at this adminstration you're:
(1) braindead
(2) dead.
